I've got our oldest rider, a legendary 80yo (he climbed Montagu Pass to celebrate his 80th), busy clearing the route around the Windvogelberg before Cathcart.

 

edit: the route between Cathcart and Thomas River hasn't been finalized yet

Took a ride from Cathcart scouting my routes, and we found an amazing bit of jeep track. It will be used, and it will shorten the day. Also spoke to Pie shop Fanie. Maybe they can set up stall on the route[emoji23][emoji23].

I rode to the kranzes at Morgs today to make sure the chaps marking the route know exactly where to send the bushcutters. Note to Fanie, no dobo[emoji23][emoji23], and we aren't doing the last sting in the tail to the Kei Mouth Golf club. We'll end on the kranzes. What a view for a finish[emoji57]

Another Day of riding possible trails. This time day 2. The first 30km will be the same, but then the route will carry on downhill for a bit

before climbing over the hill,

crossing the gravel road and dropping down to the Bolo road. Up the Bolo road, and across the top of the Mgwali reserve

and joining the route from last year at the Strauss sale pens, to the Kubusie valley.
