Hi All

I just got the Bryton Rider 530 and set it up...

2 Questions:

1. When trying to plan a trip (from my street down the road) it always says unable to find route?

I've updated and GPS software as well as device softward and Firmware and still cant seem to create a route between 2 points on a map?

2. Is there anywhere I can download (and then upload to my device) some cool trips saved by other users from in and around the MTB trails in Cape Town?

Thanks in advance

You can download any .gxp file from Strava . save the file to your pc. Then transfer that file to the Bryton .

What he ^^ said. I have a 330

You create the route on strava or copy the route GPX file to your computer. You then copy the GPX file into ExtraFiles on the GPS. And it's done.

Interestingly the GPS converts the file to some other file type. not a GPX file.

Helpful Hints.

1. Don't make your filenames too long coz the device has limited space to read the filename

2. Know on a map EXACTLY where your route starts. I made the mistake on a recent trip and we sort of rode around aimlessly till we intersected the route.

3. From what I can tell the device doesn't actually store maps like the GPS in your car. Which is a good and a bad thing. The good thing is you can use it anywhere in the world without downloading local road maps. The bad thing is point 2.
