Road tyre punctures during 947?

Not going to mention my tire combo, because Patches had a lot of punctures on them. And his friend even more. So statistically speaking, don't ride Spez Turbo's if you are Patches' friend. Else, you should be ok (touch wood).

I rode Spez Turbos and had no issues!

I always carry road bike when not on tar. 947 i parked in Orange parking, I was knackered when i got back to the parking so was very grateful one of the guards offered to carry my bike to the car, generous tip followed.

Never ever will I buy Continental tubes again. The biggest crap I ever wasted my money on. I am going back to Kenda tubes.

 

Did a ride to Franschhoek and back today. 5km before Franschhoek I figure out that I cannot be so slow, look down to see I have slow puncture and the wheel is almost riding on the rim. Probably been going down for a while by then.

 

I just checked it out. Looks like the tube developed bunch of small holes around the valve area. As if the joint lines was starting to pull apart.

Got up to three punctures per ride in Thousand Hills area in KZN nearly gave up riding. Switched to Continental gator hardshell. Only had three puctures in four years and no casing fractures.
