Paarl Rotary Posted December 9, 2017 Share Event Name: Bouckaert-Soenen Road Cycling ChallengeWhen: 4 February 2018Where: De Poort, Paarl, Western CapeCategory: RoadThe annual Bouckaert-Soenen Road Cycling Challenge on Sunday 4 February will bring thousands of cyclists to Paarl. The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Paarl, is held under the auspices of the Pedal Power Association (PPA) and starts at De Poort heritage centre in Pine Street. The races take place on country roads around Paarl Mountain. The 123 km race will form part of the 2019 Official Premier Seeding Series of the Cape Town Cycle Tour. Although the longer race is for more experienced riders, the short race is a fun-ride event aimed at the whole family. Various food stalls will offer tasty treats for sale and there will also be a Kidzone to keep the kids busy. No participants under 16 on the long route. No children u.14 on the medium route. Children u.12 will be allowed on the short route and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
