Child Bike Seat question

Hi, is there a solution to mounting a child bike seat on a MTB with a carbon frame? I’ve read that mounting the bracket to the seat post may be an option, however are there seat posts that are strong enough for this (weight of the post doesn’t really concern me). Thanks

Star Seat ftw. Fits on toptube. Check out the riding with kids thread.

This is so correct.

I fell in love with the Star seat so much that i imported a container into a NZ for resale.

I have tried the weeride, Thule and A no name brand. The star seat was the winner.

Thanks, so the carbon top tube will easily manage (say) 15kgs of weight? Will look at the suggested thread. Much appreciated

i use mine on my steel on one inbred. However had it on a bmc fourstroke (before it failed, not due to star seat. I crashed alone...ran out of talent) and sat on a few wheels down gspot with my then 3 yr old laaitie shouting "sopas oom! ry rof pappa". Good times.

Edit-Bmc was carbon, Alex weighed about 17kgs. He always wore a helmut as well. To keep the Gremmer nannies trolled... ok, i can't spell gremmAr.
