A while ago I asked info on bicycle shops in Namibia. Dan Craven answered with a list of three shops. I chose Cycles Wholesale 016 - 233081 and spoke to Damien Agnew. There were quite a few emails untill I decided on the tyres. Long weekends etc delayed the delivery from RSA. Monday Damien contacted me that the tyres were in his store. I paid the money and received my tyres yesterday...... absolutely brilliant service!!!!!! That means that any spares I need is only three days away!!!!! and I sit in "darkest Africa"!!!!!!!!

Thanx a lot Damien!!!!!!!

We experience loo(30-60days)oong delays with shipping to Luanda because of the Angolan Customs custom of no worry no hurry...

Nope it was sent to our office in Ombulanto in Namibia. Our driver collected it there yesterday. I did however have a very bad experience with DHL. I posted on that previously. We need our marraige certificate for M's application for her residence permit. My sister sent it via DHL on 20 April 2008 but made the mistake of putting the address up as Onwediva, Angola in stead of Namibia....... her wrong!!!!. They then sent the package to Luanda. Surely a big company would have a system that would flag a mistake if I say London, USA!!!!!!! Their mistake was that they subsequently sent the package another two times to Luanda!!!!!! Our marraige certificate has currently got more airmiles than we both have!!!!!!

Well we recieved our well travelled marraige certificate yesterday!!!.

Needless to say I WILL NOT be using DHL in the future!!!!!!

I am in the process of purchasing a small inflatable rubber duckie as well as a 8 hp two stroke Yamaha outboard. I must niw devise a way to get these over the border without paying import taxes and all that.

Shoprite, Game, Fruit and Veg, Truworths, Pep, Spar, Midas/Cymot/Greensport. Cuca shops is nou winkels, groot petrolstasies, moderne hospitale, apteke ens ens ens!!!!!!! Ek kon nie glo wat ek sien nie!!!!!! Gaan kyk gerus op Google Earth.
