Fine for using Thule scissor bike rack

Not arguing the legality of the fine, just stating that I have been driving with mine allot with zero issues, so assumed it is one of those laws that are not really enforced, like stopping dead at a 4 way stop.

 

Might be worth it to spend a couple of bucks to construct myself one of those boards with lights attached just to be on the safe side.

Jip, clearly that is the case.

 

I went last week and got an extra number plate for each of the vehicles I use to get to events, it cost R360. Thus I am still in for less than what my first ticket would have cost me.

 

First step is to ride with the number plate mounted on the bike from now on. Will invest in that number plate holder with lights next week, which is R500 at Midas.
