As for quality, you can't go wrong with Fox, although at 900 bucks, it is heavy for a youngster of 7, but if you can get the piggy bank open, why not.

 

Here is the link, sizes lower down on page (site) - my son has been using his short (a lot) for almost 2 years, and does not show any sign of wear or color loss, etc.
