As far as I know most electric fences are configured to trigger the alarm/siren when tampered with. Even when the alarm system is not activated.

Only if the entire system is in series. If any part is in parallel , when cut alarm won't be triggered

I wonder how mine is connected. I know when two wires touch the alarm activates. Branches on two occasions was laying on the wires and then it activated

sorry should have explained better

 

if they cut the wire that's in parallel , then alarm does not go off.....since the current is still able to flow through parallel wire.

 

You can check it yourself. where energiser connects to fence it should run entire length and have a loop on the end to return then another loop out again ...... back and forth on to each row and then back to energiser. Most times installers do crap and connect in parallel above the gates, where there is loop from one row to the other
