I am trying to determine what I need to do to make the above configuration work. The bike has a full XX groupset (38x26 front, 11x36 back). I am looking at buying a 11x40 cassette. Some forums say it is not compatible, others say you just need a longer B Screw. For Shimano you get a goatlink, but you don't seem to get something similar for Sram.

i have done this without any hassles .i did not need to use a longer B screw

Awesome! TX. Forgot to mention that I saw some forums claim compatibility as is. May I ask what brand cassette you bought? I am looking at the Sunrace MX3.

Confirm, I also had such a setup. Replaced the XX Dome SRAM cassette with the Praxxis 11-40 (as durable as butter) cassette.

It worked without issue.

Sunrace cassettes as much more durable than the Praxxis cassettes.

I only want to go 11x40, so that should be sufficient for my needs.
