Anyone ridden with these? Which conditions are they best in? I guess mud would not be good hehehehe .........

Had a set of almost new one's Lil Ben had rejected out of hand some time ago and put them on my latest project MTB just for fun...... tubeless off course!

Spent a few hours at my LBS swapping tubeless tyres around (rotating for long life ...), ended up having to inflate 6 tubeless today. 4 fine with the compressor but had to do 2 with a bomb ..............

Used them in the past, really loved them. Good handling on the corners even though it looks like crap tread. Would definitely use them.

Hey Big Ben I have ridden on the Vredestein, obviously not good in the mud the only place I realy enjoyed them was on Jeep Track - Hard Pack.

I have just put the Kenda small block eights on, these tyres are awesome.

the bee stings are great for your flat fast races but no mud at all or else you will find yourself ice skating towards big trees with no control other than that very good for your crater cruise or races like that

Thanks! Pretty much confirms what Lil Benb said. He rode them at Forest to Falls last year and fell a heavy shot on one of those muddy slippy downs ...... Said no control at all!

Will be good for our normal long training rides round here in the deep south.

  • 3 weeks later...

So I have ridden them on a pretty 'un technical' ride and also rode through the Rietvlei zoo farm course today and they are OK!

They seem to have good enough traction and the course has a bit of everything!

Yes but just ask the Cannondale/Vredestein guys how many punctures they got at the Epic. Just cause they rode home on an SLR at the back it does not mean that the rest of us should.
