I've been doing MTB for a few years now, but decided to go for a bit of a change and to get a road bicycle. So currently I am only looking at 2 bikes, GIANT Contend 3 (2018) vs TITAN Stryker Ryde (2018). They both fall in the same price and entry level category. Should anyone have any opinions on the 2 bikes mentioned above, i would really appreciate it. Thanks

That scott is a full carbon, if that is your thing. There is also a second hand giant contend at R6500 with some change for a new set of bibs and a top. All of them come with decent equipment. I cannot believe I am going to say this, but the shimano components are relatively cost effective to maintain and most bike shops can do them. Oh yes, I just assumed you are a size 56, plenty other size options in the classifieds in your price bracket!
