are you running 1x11 with the old 34 outer ( 2x11) chainring ?

 

if indeed the case then you need to get NW chainring

Jip... ok now get it.... was gona fit the oval in 2 weeks. Il do it now. Didn’t know it makes a difference

Agreed. Just remember the chainring bolt lengths are different for the 1x and 2x. At least if you fit an OEM chainring.

 

Some third party chainrings might re-use the OEM 2x chainring bolts for a easier “conversion”.

rapide make ovals for the new shimano cranks , after you have the new chainring fitted you'll chaindrops will be a thing of the past  :thumbup:

Fit the narrow-wide ring. You'll see the difference in the teeth width, and also that the teeth are deeper than you're current ring, and you'll understand why it dropped.

Might be worth getting chainring spacers as well. I needed them on one bike, but not the other bike. All depends on chain line.

Ok so 800 bucks later and 5min in the garage, narrow wide oval fitted. Will have to wait till next weekend to test.
