im sorry BL for upsetting you! i shouldn't have said that' date=' like you say "don't believe what the box says, cause the manufactures often lie!" so im sorry for that comment!

i judge lights when i see them with my own eyes! my dad and i both agreed after seeing your lights, you are making TOP CLASS lights! if i had the money i would have no doubt bought your rev 4! it was amazing to see your lights... When we got home that evening we had a look at a torch that my dad had.   my dad suggested we build a light from that! i said no ways! im getting a BL light!

the next day i thought about all these lights! how much they cost!? and then i spoke to my dad about building our own light, and it sounded promising! and for what i need it sounded fine... so we set about planning a light. it was also gonna cost a lot less!

and remember something! IM ONLY 15!!! i dont have lots of money, and my dad didnt offer to pay for it! so it honestly didnt make sense to buy an expensive light! do you think i need a better light?

Speedi15 ... stop competing against BL ... BL knows what he is talking about and yes, you are experimenting, which actually cost you more in the long run .... If you want 2 b a respected 15 year old; then stop acting like a kid and teasing BL about his lights ... If BL lights are so much more than yours; then so be it; BL has to live as well and yes; his credibility is at stake as he wants to make a business out of his knowledge ... once you are older and have responsibilties in life will you realise that life is sustained by money not riding on DAD's money!

So stop trying to compare with BL and carry on with what you want 2 achieve with you <1K light ... some people will buy your light ... I will buy a BL light as I am more interested in credibilty and gauranteed services in future!!!

Then stop creating a perception about you that you are a SPOIL BRAT!!!

When I was 15 I had respect for adults!!! It clearly shows your DAD is lacking in that area; i.e. teaching you how to respect adults!

what perception?

Like aapjas told you ... should you not rather concentrate on your school than a <1k light? BL is not trying to take glory for having a good light or trying take fame away from you ... but please stop comparing your 1K sh*t to BL lights ... if you feel you light is so good then make a comparision will all the other manufacturers such as RAVX etc. etc. Stop irritating BL! Just grow up a little bit!

I just checked the MTBR Review but they only state about the same as a 40w halogen....

This pic is of the Revelation-3 wide beam' date=' against a 35w halogen wide beam.

This pic, is of the Revelation-4 vs 55w Halogen H3 car spotlight.

It's a 55watt H3 halogen not a HID (same bulb as in all car spotlights)

I'm only taking pics of the Light and Motion HID tonight.

And after that I'll upload the new website with all the full size pics and new goodies.

Don' tknow much but I think you confuse my light with a Halogen but it's in fact H.I.D what ever that means:

HID Lights

High-intensity discharge (HID) lights are the brightest lights currently available for bikes. They are very efficient, very bright, but expensive. They also tend to have high power consumption (although they use less power than halogens for higher output), so a relatively limited burn time. Otherwise they have the same advantages and disadvantages as rechargeable halogen systems, and like halogen systems they are designed primarily for off-road use, having rotationally symmetrical beams which cast as much light up as down. An additional disadvantage compared with halogen or LED lights is that the HID lamp does not tolerate repeated strikes, and in many cases does not relight immediately after shutting down. Likewise, should the battery level fall too low, the lamp will shut down rather than dimming. But the longer battery life than halogens tends to negate these problems, as many riders simply switch the light on and leave it running throughout the ride.

For the uninitiated, HID stands for High Intensity Discharge, commonly called arc lamps or metal halide lamps. HID lamps are 300% to 400% more efficient than a halogen lamp at converting electricity to light. This makes them an excellent choice for applications requiring a lot of light with great battery life. Eg. a 10W HID lamp is equivalent to a 30-40W Halogen Lamp.

As HID lamps utilise an Arc, there is no filament inside the lamp, thus making them less prone to shock and g-forces therefore making them last longer. Obviously dropping one is not a good idea. It is basically the same technology that is used in "Xenon" car headlights as used in some BMW's, Lexus, Mercedes etc.
