Welcome to the hub, thing is with a number of these races, people don't know about them, there is very little publicity given, they don't even add an events page on the hub, which is free. 

 

Now it seems that there did try some publicity on FB and some local websites, neither of which I access.

 

Another thing, it was on the same weekend as the Piket-bo-berg race, and the West Coast Express, so it had some stiff competition for attention, but I am sure it has it's own target market of riders.

 

If I was you and you passionate about the participation for next year, make sure that it is added to the Events tab, and maybe start sharing on the thread what for you was great about it, and with word of mouth you could see an increase in participation.

This was a very nice ride, first time I did it and I liked every thing about it. Entries were done by filling in and emailing a PDF along with proof of payment. No fancy online events portals or any of that, much more of a human touch to it.

 

The route itself gave me a chance to get up Koringberg, something previously done on the Koringberg MTB that PPA held at Club Elani. I enjoyed it however I would like a "middle" route option that joins the short route after coming down Koringberg. Not a big fan of the "mile filler" farm routes added after it just to make it a 60.

 

Still, great event! (and an easy excuse for not doing the super demand Piket Bo Berg   )

PBB was that THAT demanding, but have to say if I had to do it again, might rather hit the 37km than the 63km, short and punch
