Warthogs and sometimes on the Hub

What are the advantages off the eggbeaters sl over the candy sl (or the is it the other way round) ?
In my riding, weight of things is not to much of an issue. it must be more about function (with a tiny bit of bling, Mr RacerT does have some blue already Smile)

Eggbeater Sl weighs 133g/pedal it is based on the original eggbeater and is pretty much indestructible. Definately our most popular pedal.

Candy Sl weighs 146g/pedal it has a greater surface area which means more of your shoe presses down on the pedal. Being bigger it is easier "to find" when clipping in. This is my favourite pedal because I am not the most skilled rider around. On the technical stuff, I can clip out and continue riding as if I had a normal flat pedal.

That will not convince me. What is good for some is not good for others. Unless I try myself, I'm not convince.

If you still need to be convinced, then the  other guys know something you don't.

GoLefty is doing a very detailed and critical extended test on the new Eggbeater S

Just because a car is voted car of the year by some panel does not make it likable by others.

Para, I have a spare set of Eggbeaters which you are more than welcome to borrow and try out. Just need to get them back before The Bull.

[/quote']The normal Quartz will be available in black, white and red for 2009. I

should have the first batch in about 2/3 months. Blue....not yet....but

you never know. I will have a chat with the guys....and tell them

there's people asking for it.

When you set up the Quartz's pedals it's VERY important to play around

with the spacers supplied. you need to space the cleat...that when

engaged...the sole of your shoe ...makes contact with the pedal

platform. That's what sets them apart...you then have a big area in

contact with the pedal...which results  in a better energy transfer.

Ox' date=' special washer/plate? more info please?
do the look quartz also have the same hassle?
[/quote']

Its a shim / spacer to orient the cleat closer to the pedal.

similar to the Look I suspect.

it is supplied with all pedals and extra cleats

there is a metal one available for carbon soled shoes
