Does anyone know know what shop might have one of these in the Pretoria / Midrand / Johannesburg area?

 

Been battling with a brake alignment and I think it might be the mount?

The ones in the local bike shops will only fit QR forks and frames. I know - I have tried to borrow! The newer bikes seldom if ever need facing. If you run the bike with the caliper loose you can damage the surface. I have got away with shimming with the thin shims that used to be used with Is to post mounts.

The new ones that fit all the axle standards are special order only and about R 6k. Which is why you don't see many.

This is still for a QR mount bike but yes they are scarce. Might do the shim thing.
