twin rings Posted January 13, 2019 Share hi all, i'm in the process of purchasing a new bike. I upgraded my current bike to 1X12 GX about 2 years ago, the new bike has 1X12 NX.....should I ask the LBS to swop them around or is it better to keep the new kit?? thanks in advance... Grease_Monkey Posted January 13, 2019 Share To be honest there is nearly no difference between NX and GX when it comes to the shifter and derailleur- where there is a big difference is with weight on the cassette. A GX Eagle cassette is considerably lighter than an NX Eagle cassette - but the GX uses a XD freehub, and the NX uses a standard Shimano freehub, so they cannot be swopped anyway. Because of that I would say just keep the new kit on the bike. Would be kinda pointless to just swop shifter and deraillieur and be stick with two half used sets of drivetrains. dasilvarsa and BaGearA
OnTheRicky Posted January 13, 2019 Share This video was extremely useful for me... shows all the differences between NX, GX, X01 and XX1 Eagle.
