I cannot find any reviews, news, comments or anything on the company Rookie Sports. They operate from PE and sell Fluir equipment. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I am interested in getting a set of tri bars and they seem to have very good deals.

Any input would be appreciated!

I ordered a set of TT bars (cheapest they had, budget was poo at the time) and had no problems. Ordered and dispatched the same day.

Any comments on the bars? They seem reasonable quality, just a bit heavier than the equivalent Profile Design models.

For how little I use them (two 30km's last year), they are perfect.

I had a bit of an issue on my first ride, as one of the extensions was a bit loose. Pretty sure I just didn't tighten it properly though, as it was fine on the next ride.

 

Weight-wise I have no idea, honestly - the guys with the proper TT bikes were going for the win, I was just happy to not do a 30km TT in the drops
I got the Fluir 100.

Just to conclude this thread, in case someone browse across it in future:

I ordered a set and some other goodies from them. Delivery was blistering fast. Less than 24 h. A friend had the same experience.

Fitting the bars were a bit of a fiddle. The spacers to make them fit on thinner top tubes were not great. I had to cut these shorter to fit the curve of the clamps.

Also could not get them tight enough at the recommended 5 Nm torque. My bars are aluminium, so I just tightened the screws slightly more.

In the end I found a good deal on a proper TT bike, so I will sell the clip-ons again.

Friend used his for Ironman last weekend. I am still to chat to him, but he rode almost an hour quicker than me, so it could not have been to bad.

Conclusion: You get what you pay for, but service and delivery is excellent.
