Couple of questions,

First, what cassette are you running? It may be easier to just get a larger granny gear than find a 9 speed compact crankset.

Second, BB replacement is easy and if you're replacing for wear, go ahead. Bike shop will have the tool otherwise buy the right one for your bb

Lastly, it'll be really hard finding a 9 speed compact. Might be best to upgrade entire groupset to 10 speed...

I'm running a 10sp compact crank on a 9sp bike WITH a 9sp chain no problem ... if that helps.

Best news for OP... Couple of compact crankset here on the the hub, so should be a cheap and easy swap...

I ran a 11 spd crankset on 10 spd gruppo a while back with no hassles... So it's good to hear its the same.

Thanks. Im running a 32-11 cassette. I have a terrible click when pedalling, thats why i want to chamge bb and crackset

For sure...

Also check:

Clean and grease Seatpost and saddle rails

Rear quick release

Check chainring bolt tightness

Service pedal bearings

Tighten cleats on your shoes

Check the ratchet on your shoes

Grease freebody

Clicks are an absolute bastard, BB is a good place to start but don't be surprised if it's not there...

My bike recently developed some bad clicks and i was convinced it was either bb or rear pivots, turned out to be the easiest fix - pedals. Tightened both and clicks are gone. I should take them off and grease the threads though, only learnt that i should do that after googling a bit.
