Commuting to Aan de Wijnlanden and back from Vredekloof

As the title says. What will be the safest route? Mostly with the mtb but sometimes with the road bike as well. Currently i am thinking. Brackefell Boulevard, Left onto langverwacht road, left onto Polka draai, right onto Vlaeberg road and then right on Baden Powel. Is this route safe or can you guys suggest another route?

Everything up to Vlaeberg should be perfectly fine for commuting. Brackenfell Boulevard works great with its big shoulder

 

Don't know about Vlaeberg and Baden Powell - I would be a bit nervous about commuting on a road without a shoulder but others might have first hand knowledge.

That should be the best route yes. Just be careful on the roadworks as you turn off Vlaeberg and onto Baden Powell
