Is that the case? I.e. your racetec event time isn't 'flagged' as ebike assisted? I didn't realise that...

I don't know, but have heard nothing about an ebike class at the race.  The guy who passed me had a BL number, so presume his result will be recorded in the open category?

Here is the racetec results from BL start group and nothing is tagged as ebike http://results.racetec.co.za/results_by_event.aspx?RID=10918&EN=Sat%2013%2F07%2F2019%20Takealot%20Jock%20Classic%203%20Stage%20Overall%20%28155km%20%2D%20155km%29&SG=BL

And if you search by start group there is no ebike category!

Also got passed by the e bike on Spitskop and Long Tom, I would like to ask the e bike rider why bother to enter, what is the point. If you are not capable of riding 150km then enter only one of the stages. Would love to hear the point of view from the e bikers. My wife drove the route behind me in a BMW X5, does she qualify for a medal, can she say she completed the race? Seems about the same amount of effort.

In the Panorama Tour last month there were two of the annoying e bike things. Fortunately they had their own category.
