Has anyone done the above tri? Any info on the profile of the bike leg would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fun event. There is a bit of climb in that s-bend bit of the bike out and back.

The actual weirdness in this race is the swim. The inside line of the swim is so shallow that you end up walking around the bend.

Run is flat as a pancake. All in a nice day out.

SWIM:Surprisingly cold, got a stomach bug from the water when I did it.

BIKE:Rather technical and plenty of climbing. There have been some nasty crashes. So rather take the road bike if you are not 100% confident in your handling on the TT machine.

RUN:Surprisingly hot. Don't overcook your legs on the climbs of the Bike leg, or you will regret it as you walk in that afternoon Bosveld heat.

That’s for all the tips.

Just completed the race.

Swim was icy cold;

I found the cycle very steep going up and out.

My legs were jelly for the run. Just held onto a walk/run combo. Finished.

Well done on finishing!!

It was hot and windy on the bike leg and even as a seasoned triathlete it was a tough day and is always a good test.

For me the swim was ok, the bike a little slower than wanted and the run under what was aiming for, so all in all a good day!
