Tough 28h 29er rims

I completely disagree with such a swooping statement.

Most major and reputable bike brands are manufactured in Taiwan.

Which is of course is a politically debatable answer. According to China, Taiwan is part of China, and according to Taiwan, they are not China.

You will be surprised what is outsourced to China...

Available in SA today in alloy are the Raceface, DT Swiss and cSixx rims.

My recommendation is the DT Swiss XM421 in 25mm inner width or the EX511 in 30mm inner.

The Nextie rims I import from China are incredible quality - easily as good as name brand offerings from anyone else, but at a much better price.

Drop me a mail or whatsapp if you have any questions or would like any advice.

What would the cost be to rebuild a wheel from 27.5 to 29"? Spokes and spoke nipples included? I want to replace my current 27.5" wheelset on my bike (6fattie) with a 29" wheelset and I am weighing up the options of buying a wheelset vs. buying rims and building the hubs over.

Locally, Spez do the Roval Traverse alu rims in 28H and they're pretty staunch.

My experience is that they are as hard as swiss cheese.
