Midrange vs Expensive shoes

I have some older (think 2015) Spez Pro XC shoes, so I hope these fit about the same

 

LG and Giro shoes have also been fine for me, but normal Sidi's crush my small toe

 

 

 

Giro and LG are no go for me. too tight in the toe box. Sidi are ok. Yuhave to size up. I'm generally a 42 to 42.5 so for Sidi I'm a 43. then its fine. But when new they are stiff and tight. They need a break in period of a month or so to soften up
