I still ride 3x9 on my Anthem 29er (2017), 26" Scott Yackora (2004), Wife's Silverback Pheonix and 1x9 on my RockyMountain 26"... I do this for 2 reasons... 1. Its Cheaper ( I have stocked up on Chains and cassettes to last me for 5 years) 2. If a Snap a Derailleur or shifter on my Anthem the night before a big Race (or Ride) i an grab one off one of the other Bikes.
