Seeing that ad showing water bike 'tours' of Simonstown (the ad pops up aon the bottom strip of Bikehub), makes me think this could be a fun way of paddling around huge dams, doing a camping trip. Anybody know the price of one of these machines

I know the Manta 5 retails for around $7 500. 

 

Massively expensive, but it's a new idea and a large portion of expense is R&D at this point ,so I'd expect the price will drop in a couple of years, once there is an established market.

Great way to avoid being bike-jacked! Only risk is the tripe from the water to vehicle.
