MTB Timing Boards

The last 3 MTB races I have done (Mabalingwe Lionman, Magalies Monster & Snickers Winter Challenge) we have been using these number boards with the timing chip in them...which i think is great. Also the fact that they can be re-used is super.

However I have an issue & I'm not sure if other people have noticed and how they feel about it, but with all the above races....you have 2 distances. Say 70km & 35km.

 

Now so many people are entering the big one (70km) & then doing the 35km ....but are still getting the time for the 70km, which kind of distorts the actual positions of the people who completed the full 70km.

 

...If you guilty...you will go to the fire...Lol!

Die permanente borde (het myne by Induna gekry) het niks met die 'kortpad vatters' te doen nie. Dit gebeur in pad resies ook. Ryers draai vroeer om op 'n uit-en-terug roete of draai af, nadat hulle uit hul groep geval het om na die 'mechanical problem' te kyk op hulle fiets.

It is not just the timing boards were you get this, if you do the carousel race were it is out and back a lot of people make a U-turn before the hill and end up with very good times. This also happens with multiple lap races. There will always be those that try to cheat the system, we can?t Police everyone people have to have some integrity.

Those same guys that cheat in races are also those that will complain if a Taxi jump the queue in front of them.

I don?t know were the moral of society went?
