That's what made this race unique, pmb start to Dbn finish. That's why riders fork out a rough R550 to ride a route which is usually off limits. Leaving the news about the route change until AFTER the entries close, was strategic. Less riders than entries, more 'keep money', less expenses without adjusting the entry fee. Bunch of skelms.

Not a cool reply. Some parents take their kids out on the 10km ride. These kids are NOT on 29ers nor duals. The grass sections suck them in and make it very difficult to ride. They end up pushing their bikes most of the time. Fit enough to ride the 10km, not walk it.

A bike rider in a dedicated biker lane accidently slamming into an illegally parked car is hardly an illegal activity. His insurance won't pay him out for damage to his car because he was parked illegally and should not have been there in the 1st place. You will have a claim against him for equipment damage as well as personal injury. In theory that is. Our courts are a mess and people aren't scared of lawyers anymore either.

Is it true CSA did not pay over the fees to UCI for some license ladies, making them ineligible to ride in the license group? Big scurry to fix it before the event?

CSA should hang their heads in shame. Pathetic to say the least. We all contribute to funding each time we entet a race. WHERE IS THE MONEY?

Perhaps we can tip off Carte Blanche so they can do an expose' on Sport Governing bodies who defraud their members. They can incorporate it with Cheeky Watson's EP rugby scandal. Nothing like Devi Govender in your face to get the truth. Some years ago MSA was in shambles and riders took out alternative licenses and insurance which were endorsed by event organisers who were also gatvol of Motorsport's bull. They got their house in order real quick.

I would phone a credible attorneys office, explain to them the scenario and tell them they can have 50% , even 100%, of whatever they manage to get from CSA. CSA 's cage needs to be rattled. We are all paying customers but they bargain on their 'untouchable' status. Doesn't the CPA come in to play?

Are you going to reprimand the men riding with their women too? No doubt they push them during the race etc, manipulating the outcome of the women's race.Ride with your boy. No harm done. One parent probably cried foul who was too lazy to ride with his own kids.

Not going to read through all the handbag slinging, but Possession is 9/10 of the law (sadly). The fact that the shop did not delay the pick-up is regrettable.

The organisers missed the mark with the 15km funride. 340m elevation over 15km! Rode with my sister and felt sorry for the moms and dads who took their young kids out on this ride. Good thing I decided to leave my 3yr old at grandma instead of taking him with in the carrier like I normally do on short rides. Out and back on the same route is also always a disaster. Saw a broken ankle, bloody nose and on a funride.what the hell

The race venue is next to Bpoort resort, and the resort does not allow day visitors when they are fully booked.all facilities are on the other side of the gate.

I've been riding a double set for years. It's a blessing on the back of a tandem when bumpy surfaces are unexpected.

Allegedly outsiders removed route markings and threw stones at riders on the 10km route. Fortunately hubby and our 3yr old rode upfront and missed the excitement.

Maybe so but a person suffering from severe depression who commits suicide does not do so to spite anyone or to be selfish.repurcussions of their act doesn't play a part in their decision. A psychiatrist said it best: they wan't not to die as much to stop living.

Thank you for speaking up.Very few people understand that depression is 'not just a feeling', it's a chemical imbalance in your brain. Once you hit a low, nothing matters. It's not that you don't care about your family, it feels like there is no way of getting out of that slump you're in and taking your own life is the quickest route. Very few things seem worth it and repurcussions of your actions don't matter to you. Let's all reserve our critique on how someone can do this and rather reach out to someone close to you going through a rough time. Unless you've walked that mile in her/his shoe....

Just the slightest impurity in the water and you have a sh!t storm on your hands. Gone are the days where we used to have good clean drinking water from taps. Most of our blue drop certifications were recalled. You can take that chance at home but at R4500 something a day you need to play it safe.
