KCNC or Controltech Scandium bars, and seatpost can help aswell. Is that Tec stem road or MTB? Will not trust road stuff ona MTB. Get Look Carbon Ti or Crankbrother 4Ti pedals.

[/quote'] Not trying to build the lightest bike in the world - that would not be rideable! I want to get something that can be used in the REAL WORLD and still enjoyed. Tyres - not the lightest but can be run with Stan's Sealant. Those Maxxis tyres are old news, there are 285g versions available already - but sidewalls are too thin, unless you ride on the road Tek Stem - MTB or Road, passes all the tests and comes out of the same facility making some of your "BIG BRAND"stems - they just have their logos put on it and charge 2 or 3x the price. Saddle - yes, but then lose some padding and comfort - I have a 130g Full Carbon saddle - but not practical for my needs ( read: fitness level ) Pedals - phase 2 - will be something like the CrankBrothers Ti or SL, not gonna spend that kind of money on 4Ti - can save weight elsewhere for less ....

[/quote'] Correct and then I would have to change the Subject of the Thread to " New Project: Lightest XC Full Sus Race Bike ". But instead I am focusing A LIGHTWEIGHT Full Sus Race bike that can still be thrashed and ridden relatively hard. A bike for all seasons!

Valid point and agree. But that is the challenge .... to build a sub 10kg that is still rideable and raceable.

[/quote'] Wrong on both counts ..... both of those are Carbon frames ... I am getting an Alloy 4"Full Sus with Carbon trickbits on it ...
