BaGearA Posted July 23, 2020 Share Is it the rockshox variety? (asking for personal reasons) Yes it has to go to your nearest spez concept store from which it will go to StellenBosch. Turn around is a week to 10 days as far as I'm aware
dewaldsss Posted July 23, 2020 Share Unfortunately as stated above, only Specialized can do it as it requires special tooling.I had the same issue, started making a funny noise as if there is oil in the air-can.Service took 7 days an once fitted it was as good as new. You can bargain on a major service once a year and the 50hrs/air-can service every 6 months.
Firozfx Posted July 23, 2020 Share I have a 2015 Specialized Epic Expert bike that i use for ultra long distance riding (Munga, regular 100 milers etc). Get to 150 hours pretty quickly. Just did my rear shock at a cost of R1450. I service the shock 3 to 4 times a year But I am going to order a yoke so that i can replace the rear brain shock with a normal shock. Just need to find the right one https://www.bikeyoke.de/en/bikeyokes/https://www.bikeyoke.de/en/Specialized-Epic-2018-2019.html

Be4dawn Posted July 24, 2020 Share Thanks guys contacted spez in stellenbosch and gonna courier it to them. So with replacing the brain shock with a normal shock, my LBS told me that it wont work without a brain shock. Said with a nirmal shock i would exprerience a bit of up and down bounce on the shock. Any truth to this?
