ChrisF Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 I use the 2016 Merida Big7 XT edition as my commuter bike. Very similar to your bike, except the XT parts. The XT edition sold new for about R 18k list price, possibly R15k normal price. The "40" would have cost a bit less .... As the 27,5 tires are not very popular in SA the 2nd hand price may be negatively impacted. Sadly the typical approach of less 40% in year one, then less 10% per year there after results in an insultingly low figure ..... These bikes really are worth a lot more than that. Sadly dont know if you will get more than R5k for it .... again, I do think it is worth more than that, but I am biased as I love my Merida.
