you must be confused with GM's other collaboration.

 

they were working with the US Airforce and trying to incorporate Stealth technology into their new vehicle.

 

it was called the G-SPOrT.

So the only undiluted companies are Porsche and Honda.

 

I don't think you could call someone like BMW(as an example) diluted when they bought two traditional brands and made them more succesfull than they ever were in their histories.

 

Purists might argue that Rolls Royce and Mini have been diluted by not being seperate companies in their own right.

 

They are now run by BMW.....but BMW still runs itself.

 

One update required to the diagram would be that VW and all it's subsidiaries now fall under Porsche. Truly a remarkable achievement that Porsche, which was severely cash strapped in the early 90s and close to a possible take-over, has re-emerged as the most profitable car maker in the world. Amazing to think that a company that produces around 30000 cars a year can have the cash to buy a controlling stake in VW, who as a whole sells several hundred thousand vehicles a year!
