Faze Maze Posted April 25, 2022 Share Has anyone seen anything regarding this event being cancelled or is it going ahead? I see on the entry page, the closing date for entries is listed as 29 April but it seems to have been closed already?

Fat Boab Posted May 5, 2022 Share Any idea what the the two routes would have been? I've started riding around Rayton recently and would be interested in routes to explore on my own.
dave303e Posted May 5, 2022 Share I would rather ride zwift without a saddle for 24 hours than ride anywhere near the R104, heck even crossing it is dodgey. We live within the loop of the tshwane classic and there is a lot of good mtb in the area and better gravel grinding. But that tar road is a joke. Coal trucks, taxis and the polo brigade overtaking on blind rises. Without full road closure in my opinion it is a death trap. No shoulder, blind rises, idiot drivers who think they are on the highway but are too shnoep to pay the exorbitant toll fees. Apart from the fact the R104 is a no go in the dark between pretoria and the venue with spikings and hijackings common. So you have to drive around to get there. The R515 near the R25 is also being worked on at the moment so it is a bit of a joke, we had stop goes and no shoulder and debris a lot recently. Brilliant area for gravel and MTB though, I am happy to share farm road routes, safe and fairly quiet, just a bit flat... Rowl
