love2fly Posted April 13, 2022 Share Hi just need some advice where to get helmet pads? My Bell Alchera has been sitting in the cupboard for literally years and needs new pads, but the agents don't have. Any suggestions or what other people have done? Cheers
bleedToWin Posted April 13, 2022 Share Helmets lose their ability to protect your helm over time, and even without crashes should eventually be retired. Your new helmet will have nice fresh pads. 😉
love2fly Posted April 13, 2022 Share ....been stored in a cupboard and still AOK. PADS deteriorated from sweat and disappeared somewhere.
Zebra Posted April 13, 2022 Share There is quite a bit of ‘cross-compatibility’ of helmet pads; see what is close/similar, I think I have Giro pads in a Bell helmet, works just fine in a helmet STILL FIT FOR PURPOSE. Cheers Chris
Schuits Posted April 13, 2022 Share Had a similar problem with my giro helmet. The pads basically fell apart. Local bike shop had a bunch of replacements for different versions. So some bike shops do stock. Ok my new pads fell apart too, I assume they were old stock, so I glued them together..lol.
