For anyone who speaks/understands German' date=' the best cycling song is probably "Mein  Fahrrad" by Die Prinzen.

I found this rough translation on the internet, to give you an idea:

Not long ago I was riding around on my bicycle at120 km/hr
And, I could only hope
the police were not watching me
Then I would have to pay a fine
They would take me before a judge
and my poor little bicycle would
stand alone by the door.

Oh, how I love my bicycle!
Just why I do not know.
I will be true to my bicycle
in contrast to my wife
I will never depart from it
For we fly as on clouds
because we understand each other so well

Every snot drives an Opel
Every ape drives a Ford
Every idiot drives a Porsche
Every butt an Audi Sport
Every screwball drives a Manta
Every dummy a Jaguar
Only people who know how to enjoy life ride a bicycle
and they are always the first to arrive

My bicycle is not lilac
For I will not have that
It is not brown
because I cannot endure it
No, I have painted it blue
from the saddle to the tube
I find that particularly fitting
since I am often blue, too
(?Blue? is German slang for inebriated.)
[/quote']

which is why he thinks he's riding at 120km/hLOL

Queen - I like to ride my bicycle' date='

I like to ride my bike.

The manufacturer of the bicycles for the video refused to take the saddles back so freddie bought himself plenty saddles Smile
[/quote']

I think there's something fishy about that story.

Odd that you mention that... Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen said:

"If I would been old enough to make records in the '30s, I would have

been against their grandpa, Prescott Bush, too, who made all his

fortune by banking with the Nazis."  "The family's

pretty evil. I've been on to them for a long time. I keep my eye on

them."

for hill climbing:

garbage- this is not my idea

or wet weather:

garbage- I am only happy when it rains

or when cycling with me:

REM- Stand

(Stand in the place where you live
Now face north
Think about direction
Wonder why you havent before
Now stand in the place where you work
Now face west
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you havent before

If you are confused check with the sun
Carry a compass to help you along
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around

(repeat 1st verse)

Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around
If wishes were trees the trees would be falling
Listen to reason
Season is calling

(repeat 1st verse)

If wishes were trees the trees would be falling
Listen to reason
Reason is calling
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around

So stand (stand)
Now face north
Think about direction, wonder why you havent before
Now stand (stand)
Now face west
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you havent

(repeat 1st verse)

Stand in the place where you are (now face north)
Stand in the place where you are (now face west)
Your feet are going to be on the ground (stand in the place where you are)
Your head is there to move you around, so stand.)

song for this mornings ride:

When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
When youre sure youve had enough of this life, well hang on.
Dont let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes.

Sometimes everything is wrong. now its time to sing along.
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go, (hold on)
When you think youve had too much of this life, well hang on.

Everybody hurts. take comfort in your friends.
Everybody hurts. dont throw your hand. oh, no. dont throw your hand.
If you feel like youre alone, no, no, no, you are not alone

If youre on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
When you think youve had too much of this life to hang on.

Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries. and everybody hurts sometimes.
And everybody hurts sometimes. so, hold on, hold on.
Hold on, hold on. hold on, hold on. hold on, hold on. (repeat & fade)
(everybody hurts. you are not alone.)

Hmmm, master lyricists the Flobots Wink...  I can't really judge it until I hear it I suppose. Will search for it on youtube.

I dig this one from The Killers:

Bling (Confession Of A King) lyrics

When I offer you survival,

You say it's hard enough to live,

It's not so bad, it's not so bad

How do you know that you're right?

I awoke on the roadside,

In the land of the free ride,

And I can't pull it any longer,

The sun is beating down my neck

So I ran with the devil

Left a trail of excuses,

Like a stone on the water,

The elements decide my fate,

Watch it go..."bling".

When I offer you survival,

You say it's hard enough to live,

Don't tell me that it's over,

Stand up

Poor and tired,

But more than this

How do you know that you're right?

If you're not nervous anymore,

It's not so bad, it's not so bad

I feel my vision slipping in and out of focus,

But I'm pushing on for that horizon,

I'm pushing on,

Now I've got the blowing wind against my face

So you sling rocks at the rip tide,

Am I wrong or am I right?

I hit the bottom with a "huh!"

?? Quite strange,

I get my glory in the desert rain,

Watch it go..."bling".

When I offer you survival,

You say it's hard enough to live,

And I'll tell you when it's over,

Shut up poor and tired,

But more than this

How do you know that you're right?

If you're not nervous anymore,

It's not so bad, it's not so bad...

Higher and higher,

We're gonna take it,

Down to the wire,

We're gonna make it,

Out of the fire,

Higher and higher. [x2]

Higher and higher,

We're gonna take it,

Down to the wire,

We're gonna make it out,

Whoa-oh-oh Higher and higher...

It ain't hard to hold,

When it shines like gold,

You'll remember me.

sean, tell us what you think when you find it. here's the whole song?

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

Look at me, look at me
hands in the air like it's good to be
ALIVE
and I'm a famous rapper
even when the paths're all crookedy
I can show you how to do-si-do
I can show you how to scratch a record
I can take apart the remote control
And I can almost put it back together
I can tie a knot in a cherry stem
I can tell you about Leif Ericson
I know all the words to "De Colores"
And "I'm Proud to be an American"
Me and my friend saw a platypus
Me and my friend made a comic book
And guess how long it took
I can do anything that I want cuz, look:

I can keep rhythm with no metronome
No metronome
No metronome

I can see your face on the telephone
On the telephone
On the telephone

Look at me
Look at me
Just called to say that it's good to be
ALIVE
In such a small world
All curled up with a book to read
I can make money open up a thrift store
I can make a living off a magazine
I can design an engine sixty four
Miles to a gallon of gasoline
I can make new antibiotics
I can make computers survive aquatic conditions
I know how to run a business
And I can make you wanna buy a product
Movers shakers and producers
Me and my friends understand the future
I see the strings that control the systems
I can do anything with no assistance
I can lead a nation with a microphone
With a microphone
With a microphone
I can split the atoms of a molecule
Of a molecule
Of a molecule

Look at me
Look at me
Driving and I won't stop
And it feels so good to be
Alive and on top
My reach is global
My tower secure
My cause is noble
My power is pure
I can hand out a million vaccinations
Or let'em all die in exasperation
Have'em all healed of their lacerations
Have'em all killed by assassination
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like'em and
I can do anything with no permission
I have it all under my command
I can guide a missile by satellite
By satellite
By satellite
and I can hit a target through a telescope
Through a telescope
Through a telescope
and I can end the planet in a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust
In a holocaust

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handle bars
No handlebars

I can ride my bike with no handlebars
No handlebars
No handlebars

Theres pedal bikes and motor bikes

And now theyre riding mountain bikes

Up and down and out of town

Over, under, through, around

I ride my little bicycle, I ride it to the top

No red lights or traffic signs to tell me when to stop

Theres racing bikes and motor bikes

And now theyre riding mountain bikes

Up and down and out of town

Over, under, through, around

I rode my bike to my stepsister's wedding

And in my backpack was designer bedding

And a gift certificate for a CD or for a cassette

A CD or cassette

I only but once met her new guy

And the good news to me is he seems shy

Maybe he'll help me find a new job

For this ride that I'm on is all done

All over and done

If the while this bore couldn't see me

And why does boredom at home see me so clearly?

And like a flashlight and the campfire afade

Forgetting the plans that I made

The plans that I made

So I grabbed my bike I said goodbye and left the wedding

But I didn't get far for how cold it was getting

As I slept in a pile of leaves

I dreamt you there next to me

You were there next to me

As I shivered that night in the leaves

I dreamt you were warm next to me

You were warm next to me
