DieselnDust Posted August 13, 2022 Share Not many of those around in working order. The 2.8 frame was quite a character

Dicky DQ Posted August 14, 2022 Share But, But they were the original Crackondales or did that only start with CAAD6's. All jokes aside I love my Crackondale Evo6. It has not cracked yet...........

Many of those frames cracked at the drop out especially under heavier riders. Although cannondale would become the leader in the reliable production of aluminium frames the learning curve was steep when it came to the 3.0 and 2.8 frames. The CAAD series that came after were a big improvement. By CAAD 4 cannondale was the world leader in alloy frame production. in terms of value, that is in the eye of the collector. On the open market the 3.0 and 2.8 arent very popular. To a collector it’s probably worth a few thousand rond Nils at Woodstock Cyckeworks is the man to talk to. By 2012 I was riding the Scott I have advertised in classifieds, and thats a 2005 with STi's that I'm sure were factory fitted.
