Anyone else out there having problems with a Trek Top Fuel 9.8 ?

The bike has Shimano XT, the gears have jumped from day one, had different people look at it... the bike frame creaks and groans like an old man, especially on technical terrain. I bought this bike from Bicycle Line in Boksburg, I asked them to make sure the bike was 100% before I got a friend to collect it as I dont live in SA anymore. I have always preferred SRAM, should have stuck with my initial gut-feel to get them to change the gearing.

I have had nothing but nonsense with this bike, I am trying to see if it is a Trek "thing" or the bike wasnt setup properly by the bike shop...

Flippen love my top fuel. Apparently Trek's do come from the factory dry so I had my LBS look at all the pivots and bearings. No issues with the drivetrain

I have the same bike. Shifting has been spot on from day one. The Shimano shifting is much smoother and lighter than the GX Eagle on my other bike. I suspect you may have a bent hangar or the indexing is off. As for the suspension pivots, the bearings on my frame were dry. Got them lubed up and the bike is super quiet, not that it was noisy to begin with. The one thing that is "off" is the rear brake line routing. It is quite tight as it exits the front triangle. Lead to some issues with my bike which have hopefully been solved now. Other than that, it is probably the finest bike I have ever owned
