If the tap idea doesn't work, try a wanted ad in the classifieds. There are probably a good few LHS cranks out there from guys who have fitted Stages PMs, and 175 was about the most common crank length for GXP.

Checked with the agents, no stock anymore and SRAM no longer make GXP spares.

hi all

I have a 2018 Sram GX eagle GXP crankset (pre dub)
I recently tried to remove the crank with an extractor nut. In the process I got the extractor nut stuck. long story short I damaged the extraction thread. the thread is M22x1. M22x1 is not a common thread size from what i can tell only the cycling industry uses it and therefore the taps are scarce and expensive.

Does anyone have some advice on how to repair/rethread the thread. or can you refer me to a person with the necessary tools to do the job?

Help me understand; The GXP has a hew nut that tightens the crank on and then this nut in done, butts up against an external cap against which it pushes the crank arm off the axle right.....

Did you remove the large self extraction cap to get to the nut, undid the nut and then thread a traditional crank extracter tool into the crank arm?
