Not as steep as Alp du Huez, but soooooo long.The fabled moonscape! We were lucky with little wind but "suffered like dogs" in the heatTom Simpsons memorial. Bit out of place considering he wouldn't have died in the way he did if he hadn't been on the supplementsAlp du Huez. If you're a cyclist then you have to ride it in your lifetime. And just as a matter of interest it cost me just over half of what I dropped on the epic for 10 days in France. PM me and I'll tell you how. linnega Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Also they/we don't actually know what was inside of him except brandy. They found amphetamines still in his pocket, so he may not have used anything that day, or he took a double dose to make sure he didn't run out of juice.

Already planning to go back and do it next year. Hate the feeling of unfinished business. Possibly include the '09 e tap.Anybody else keen on going? Maybe we can put something together. Made some useful contacts while I was there.

Quite appropriate really Considering the rabid aversion to drug taking these days is it appropriate to honour a cheat in this way. Just a thought.
