JJDT Posted February 26 Share Hi All I'm in the market for a new saddle and while browsing Rapide for a new chainring I saw that they also do saddles. Anyone using or having experience of the saddles Rapide is offering? https://www.rapide.co.za/product/rapide-tf-147-saddle/ Thanks
Bichael Dewing Posted February 26 Share https://www.ergonbike.com/en/saddle-selector.html buying a saddle on looks is no good.. I used this on the Ergon site, most importantly it explains how to measure your SIT BONE WIDTH and recommends a saddle from that and other factors.. just check it out before purchasing just any saddle that looks good.. it might be a dog when you sit on it..😉🤙🏻 Genie
BrandonH Posted February 26 Share @JJDT I have been through about 5 different saddles to find the right one after struggling a lot with everything from Fabric to WTB, I did exactly what @Bichael Dewing said above, ended with a medium/large ergon SMC gel saddle, couldn't be happier Bichael Dewing

Still have one on my trainer. Used the 135mm one. Very comfortable saddle, and even works well for me on longer rides. However, what I did find was that they are a little bit flexible, and I kept on finding myself having to shift back as I was sliding forward on the saddle due to the flex in the middle of the saddle. Other than that really enjoyed it. Good fit for me.
Trek man Posted February 27 Share If you know what you looking for in particular otherwise go to your LBS and ask for a test saddle.
