Zak370 Posted May 4 Share Howzit. I had a puncture lol & unfortunately after installing the new inner tube I had a bumpy ride home...I've re-installed the inner tube once I arrived home but still the same (theres no gap between the rim and tyre) ...it got me wondering...the original tube was a 700×19/23c and I had bought a 700×23/30 tube. So have installed the incorrect size tube ?
David Marshall Posted May 5 Share Try re-installing the tube and tyre with a little bit of soapy water on the bead. Also make sure that the valve stem is free to move into the tyre cavity (don't fit the little nut). First pump to about 1-2 bar and go round the rim making sure that none of the tube is under the bead. then inflate fully.
