Breede River gravel/MTB routes (between Wolseley and Rawsonville)

On our way to this beautiful area (just past Bain's Kloof pass) for a camping trip this weekend, any hubbers know of good, publically accessible gravel roads (or MTB trails) in the area? Strava heatmap seems promising but I don't know how much of these are private roads...

Loops preferred, 30-50km

No personal experience there, but Trailforks shows a few routes although the 'last ridden' filter shows some haven't been ridden for a few months.

Also zooming in on the Tracks4Africa map gives a lot more info on roads -- the ones marked gravel are public afaik:

Drive to "Rietdakkie" padstal.

They have a couple of trails starting from the padstal.  And the farmer is VERY keen to talk about cycling and the options in the area.

YES .... a couple of farmers have had enough of cyclists, so some old routes are NOT accessible .... best to make sure before you enter any farms.

Bit of a drive, but well worth it.  Go past Ceres to Eselfontein ....
