Morning,

Any suggestions on Munga MTB tri bars and where to buy them? Only G & T on internet.

Road tri/aero bars to low I see, and I Need it for Munga grit.

Any suggestions on what and where to buy will be greatly appreciated.

Google Profile design aerobars. They sell them with 50mm or even 60mm risers. Some guys get custom risers made that are even higher. But you don’t want to go too high as it’s crap for handling and somewhat defeats the saddle pressure benefit you get from aerobars.

I'd second Profile Design. Have used them on an MTB with risers (40mm) for an ultra-endurance bikepacking race and it actually felt a lot more stable than with no risers, even with a loaded bike.

this is too true. Saw many "aero bar" setups on the weekend that have zero effect other than putting weight on elbows and not wrists. There are so many where the riders back and head height is 100% the same. So there is no aero gain and not change in sit position. It actually looks ridiculous.

I think a lot of Munga Aero Bar setups are just to provide another contact point and to allow pressure to be taken off hands and wrists.

Many, many people end up with Shermer’s neck from a normal position so unless you’re elite, your position won’t look very aero at all.

…in TRIATHLON, tri-bars where/are all about giving a more slipstream-profile for say 120+ km’s, especially for stronger swimmers with the shoulder-profile to match…!

In RAAM, and other ultra-distance races, it is LESS about aero, and more about giving wrist and hands a break, and a REAL change of position, which ALSO happens to be aero - so aero is often a SECONDARY goal, with the primary goal being taking weight off hands, etc, and giving the body a position to ’slump’ into…
