Guys and girls what would be the modern equivalent to these rims?

American Classic Tubeless Race 29

American Classic hubs

HG free body

Non-boost QR

I hit a rock 😔 my circular rim is not so circular anymore and has a crack, and the hubs are proprietary so it’ll be a hub as well.

I love my rims 😢 But Am Classic is no longer in business and my list of options is limited as my frame is non-boost.

So what would be the replacement that is light and strong? I don’t trust myself with carbon rims lol.

I don’t know how insurance works but I imagine they’ll only entertain the damaged wheel. Either way I need a new complete wheel for at least the rear.

American Classic were making wide rims before it was fashionable, so I'm assuming you want wider rims.

Can recommend Stan's Arch EX wheels if you dint mind a heavier rim. If you want something lighter but not as wide, Stan's Crest are a good option.

Just match hole counts and you can rebuild with whatever rim you like, although you'll need new spokes. Pretty sure all the AC MTB wheels were 32H.

Stans Arch MK4 is a good call, but not cheap (the EX have been out of production for years).

Crest is a race rim, very light but not what you'd call durable.

Raceface Arc are decent, if a bit soft, but come with a guarantee.

If you're on a budget, Alex or Jetset. Not light, but about the best value you'll find.

I would add Lyne to the list but they only do the Pulse (their lighter rim) in 28H.
