Need non boost 29” thru axle rear wheel

Hey everyone, 

I need a non boost thru axle aluminium rear wheel (142mmx12mm) with a HG 12 speed hub

I have tried bike shops and no where has. I was quoted +-R2000 for a non boost hub to rebuild my current wheel (just doesn’t seem fees-able to me) 
Does anyone perhaps have a rear wheel laying around not being used that they’d be willing to let go of? Or where I could potentially find one 
Obviously I’d be willing to pay

I’m based in Hatfield Pretoria, but am willing to ship it from anywhere

Having run the non-boost hub and wheel gauntlet earlier this year, I would recommend you get a Novatec hub and rebuild your wheel. Then you’ll have a decent (serviceable) hub and matching rims.

If you don’t want to rebuild your wheel, Jetset rims are decent, reasonably priced, and can likely be supplied by your LBS.

Would be my first choice but not sure if the 15mm is an option.

Are you sure it’s not 142 x 12mm? Also check on that 12 speed standard, is it HG with a 12 speed cassette?

I agree with you on trying to find a used wheel if you’re on a budget. If you get a hub, you might need to change your spokes to work with a different hub and there’s the wheel building cost. This is going to add up and you’ll be in for maybe around R3k (thumb suck) to rebuild all in.

Sorry man I made a typo, it is a 142x12 not a 15

Yeah man you’re right, I saw I made a typo it is a 142x12mm. It is a HG with a 12 speed cassette
