Wellington gravel rides

I am spending a long weekend in Wellington and wanting to find out about gravel and keep track rides of 30 to 50 km in the area. - staying at bottom of Bains Kloof - would appreciatte some pointers

That's a classic and an excellent route - another option is over hawequa on gravel, down bains on road - hang a left at the bottom and head to Tulbagh for a coffee and cake then there is a railway track dodge and a hairy bit of road before hitting the retuen gravel section to Welly - let me know if you are interested and I'll find a gpx - it's longer by a good bit than 50 though

Go for wine tasting at Doolhof and chat to Johan... plenty routes that start from there.

Another option are the trails at https://vdcwines.co.za/pizza-vista/ Make sure to have a pizza there!!

These are mainly MTB trails so best to find out how technical they are

Gravel Routes E.g. 23 km

As mentioned above... you can cut the below 98km route short.
