Upgrade advice

1.I have a raleigh 4000 (triathlon bike) with tiagra components.I am looking at doing some upgrades and was wondering if I should just upgrade the components to start or should I be looking at upgrading the frame first.

 

2.Tri bikes seem extremely expensive compared to road bikes-would it be worthwhile getting a nice carbon road bike (with clip ons) instead of a tri bike?I don't use the tri-bars as much as I should (a little unfit) but would like to in the future

I'd look at upgrading your present TT bike first with Ulterga/ Centaur and a KCNC finishing Kit, then look at a frame.

Excuse the ignorance but what is a KCNC finishing kit?

KCNC is a very good make of componentry thats pretty cheap. A finishing kit includes; bars, stem, seatpost and the other bits and pieces. Also check out the Token range, its also well priced.
