Wheel bling

I have a set of American Classic Carbon wheels that I want to bling up. Does anyone know where I can have new decals made, preferably in the Pretoria area.

imho remove all the factory decals off the wheels and run 'em nude.

there was someone on doing custom zipp decals a while back... sure he could help you out aswell.. i think he did the stickers aswell.. Mampara can do some mean artwork... so should look pretty bling..

I dollied up a set of AC wheels for two Hubbers - AM Magnesium wheels. but replacing the spokes with ultra thin SAPIM Laser spokes. They saved a whopping couple of dozen grams.

 

I say remove the stickers and run naked, unless Mamparra can come up with some lightweight super attention-grabbing stickers.

 

Why not invisible reflective stickers made from deep purple reflective vinyl?

Sean   Glen at Hatfield cycles also does stickers for wheels.  Did Faantjies for hir Silverback and Easton Wheels.

Question is more likely: Are SAPIM Laser spokes (or DT revolutions) currently available in SA in the right lenghts?

 

I don't know. PM me with the exact hub, rim and number of crossed spokes and I'll make some enquiries and get you a price.

 

These things are like hen's teeth and when you get them, you quickly build something with them before they disappear.

 

I've even build a wheel for someone who desperatedly wanted the lightest wheels on the planet by using two different bathes of spokes. The butts were slightly different lengths but I couldn't get a full compliment in either one of the two variants, so I used them both alternatively. It created a stunning look if you knew where to look.

 

As if the SAPIM scarcity is not enough, they freak me out futher by selling in boxes of 50 - exactly enough for two 25-spoke wheels. I'm yet to get commissioned for a set like that.
