I'm an ex pro racer who stopped racing bc of various reasons? (drugs and politics in SA cycing) so a rookie.. im not!? as for being in the olympics...phew...they should ban the sport of cycling due to all the drugs

when someone prefaces a post with "I mean this in the nicest way possible", you know they usually don't.

but, just for argument's sake, couldn't an xc champ be a decent marathon rider? or vice versa?

 

Never ever ever!!!!!!!! can a XT rider be a marathon rider........ it is like saying a brain surgeon and a gyneacologist is the same thing!!!!!!

 

surely you mean "XC". i don't see why a person riding an xt-equipped couldn't win a race.

 

but that's not to say that you couldn't be both a brain surgeon and, say, a proctologist?it would certainly help to be both. then you could operate on all the hubbers who have their heads up them own wazzoos.
